Connecticut state licensed wildlife rehabilitator Wanda D’Agostino is caring for ten mallard ducklings. The ducklings hatched around May 16, 2011, in a building that was being torn down in the East Hartford, Connecticut area. The mother duck could not be found. The ducklings will take a few months of care and feeding before being released back into the wild. There is no state funding for animal care, so Wanda provides for these animals out of her own pocket. Donations to help may be made through H.O.W.L. at the address at the bottom of this page.
